There are nearly 10,000 lions being held in captivity in South Africa
Baby lions are bred in captivity for cub petting attractions, young lions are used in walk-with-lions attractions, adult lions are killed in canned hunts and their bones are sold for traditional chinese medicine. "Voluntourism" facilities masquerade as lion conservation. The exploitation of lions for commercial gain has to stop. That's why Truly Wild is donating to Blood Lions...
about Blood Lions
The Blood Lions campaign seeks to end the exploitation of captive lions in South Africa. The campaign began with the documentary film Blood Lions which exposed the truth about the predator breeding and canned hunting industries in South Africa. (watch the film)
Captive lion attractions (cub petting, walk-with-lions, voluntourism) deceptively claim to support lion conservation. Blood Lions blows the lid off these claims and exposes the awful truth.
Let's work together to end these terrible practices and keep lions where they belong: in the wild.
